This easy banana cream pie is incredibly easy to make using instant pudding mix and frozen whipped topping.  Refrigerated pie crust helps give it a made-from-scratch flavor.

1 refrigerated pie crust

3 ripe  bananas

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

2 cups cold milk

½ cup cold heavy cream

2 (3.5-ounce) packages instant French vanilla pudding mix

½ teaspoon banana flavoring

½ teaspoon vanilla

2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed

Bake the pie shell according to the package directions.  Allow the shell to cool completely.

Slice the bananas, toss them with lemon juice, and place them in the bottom of the cool pie shell.

In a large bowl, combine the milk, heavy cream, pudding mix, and both flavorings.  Whisk until thoroughly combined. Fold in 1 cup of the whipped topping.

Pour the mixture over the bananas in the pie crust.

Chill for at least 3 hours or until the pudding is set.

Spread the remaining whipped topping over top of the pudding.
