Description

Here are 2 Easter brunch cocktails to start your holiday off right.  This recipe is for a pink and tart grapefruit mimosa.

Ingredients

Scale

FOR THE GRAPEFRUIT MIMOSA:

1 bottle rosé champagne, chilled

2 cups fresh pink grapefruit juice, chilled

Sliced grapefruit, for garnish

FOR THE ROYAL FRENCH 75:

1 cup gin

½ cup fresh lemon juice

½ cup St. Germain’s Elderflower Liqueur

1 bottle dry champagne

Lemon peel, as a garnish

Instructions

For the Grapefruit Mimosa:

Tilt a champagne flute at a 45-degree angle.

Slowly fill the glass halfway with the champagne.

Top the champagne with the pink grapefruit juice.

Garnish with a slice of fresh pink grapefruit.

For the Royal French 75:

Fill a large cocktail shaker with ice.  Pour in the gin, lemon juice, and St.Germain’s and shake until the outside of the shaker is ice cold.

Strain the liquid into 6 champagne flutes.

Top each flute with champagne.

Twist a lemon peel over each cocktail to allow the essential oils to flavor the drink.

Garnish with the twisted lemon peel.

Enjoy.
