Here are the perfect recipes to celebrate the Virgo in your life!
Perfect Filet Mignon
Filet Mignon is packed with flavor and is always the star of the show. The best part is that it turns out perfect every single time—just like our favorite perfectionist Virgo likes!
To cook the perfect filet mignon, you’ll need two steaks (8 ounces, 2-inches thick), ¼ cup finely minced fresh parsley, ½ cup unsalted butter, freshly squeezed lemon juice, some finely minced garlic, ground black pepper, vegetable oil, and salt.
First, place the meat on paper towels to make sure they are dry from all sides. Then massage it with salt, put it on a rack and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or overnight.
For the butter, stir together the butter, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl and set aside. Remove the meat and allow it to come to room temperature for about 20 to 30 minutes.
Next, place a cast-iron skillet over high heat. To this, add vegetable oil and the steaks to it. Cook until a golden-brown crust is formed on both sides. Next, add a dollop of the butter mixture on top of each steak and transfer the skillet to the oven. Cook the steaks until they’re medium-rare.
Once done, allow the meat to rest before placing another heaping teaspoon of the butter on each steak and sprinkle a bit of the minced parsley on top.
No matter how full you are or how strict your diet is, there’s always room for dessert. Virgos believe the desert goes straight to the heart. This classic Italian tiramisu is a rich and decadent dessert—the perfect end to a scrumptious dinner.
All you’ll need is six egg yolks, sugar, mascarpone cheese, heavy whipping cream, Italian Ladyfingers, cold espresso, coffee-flavored liqueur, vanilla, and some cocoa powder for dusting.
Beat the egg yolks and sugar together until a smooth and thickened consistency is formed. Add the mascarpone and vanilla, mix until combined. Fold in the whipped cream to this mixture and set aside.
In a shallow bowl, stir together the espresso and coffee liqueur. Next, dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture and lay them in a tray. Then add half of the cream mixture on top, and repeat the process with the ladyfingers.
Finally, dust cocoa powder all over the top of the dessert and refrigerate overnight.
